Favourite event in Havil 🏫:

I think that my favourite event in Havil was my first Sports' Day in the school when I came in Year 9. My role then was to be a helper for the teachers to keep the whole event organized and minimise the amount of problems. Even though I had to run around the field for one to two hours; running more than the athletes that day, I still had fun.

Another event was International Day 2019/2020. At first, I thought that it would be boring as it was the first time where we had to work with our respective House instead of our own classmates. However, it turned out that it was way better than I expected it to be. We had good food, games and activities and it really changed my initial impressions and thoughts about this House-centered International Day.

Shout Out ✊:

I think I have to thank all the teachers. I would like to especially acknowledge Ms Margaret, Ms Lydia and Mr Phan though.

Ms Margaret was my science teacher when I first came in Year 9. Ms Margaret struggled a lot to get me used to the International IGCSE Science syllabus. When I reached Year 10, Ms Margaret got me to love the subject, 'Biology', although it was still hard for her due to my ‘excellent’ English.

And next, Ms Lydia. The teacher I have ‘love / hate relationship’ with the most (???). She really helped me a lot in English and I could feel my English improving so much within one month. And of course, endless essays and pieces of homework were given. =W= But I still love her (❤´艸`❤)

Lastly, our MVP teacher, Mr Phan. Well, I think he is just special to our class. He reminds me of a polar bear.

Lastly, Mr. Phan also holds a special place in my heart because he is the homeroom teacher of my last year of high school. Once again, I would like to thank my teachers!

SPEECH WRITE UP

Hello, my name is Emily. It is with sadness and happiness that I am speaking at graduation. I cannot believe I am finally here experiencing it! Thank you for this special moment and allowing me to share my high school journey before I leave.

So, after spending 43,800 hours of studying and experiencing lack of sleep, I have finally completed my last exam which is IGCSE. I must admit that these were very hard times for me. Due to my “very good” English, there were a lot of things I needed to spend more time to understand and learn. This caused me a lot more stress back when I was still preparing. I remembered those late nights where I had to study the words and their meaning for English and also revised for Biology; two of my weakest subjects. But I need to say that I have gone through it and I have finally graduated. It seems like sometimes you just need to get through it to be ‘free’.

Of course, my secondary school memories are not just made up of exams, tuition, homework and stress. I must say that I have the coolest classmates and friends throughout my high school chapter. Although sometimes we may argue, we even fight and have ‘civil war’ with each other; but in the end, we are all still classmates. Now that we have been through war together, it is time to say goodbye.

This whole secondary period really changed me a lot. Sometimes when I think back to the good old days of being only 13 years old, I felt that I have become more mature now and changed so much. I realised how childish I was when I was younger, getting caught up with all my emotions. I believe that I will become more mature every day, as time goes by.

I have to thank all the teachers who taught me so far. Let me apologise for keeping you teachers busy, as well as thank you for keeping your patience with my classmates and I when we kept saying “I'm sorry teacher can you repeat it, again?”. I am also regretful over the times we forgot to do our homework.

I wish I could spend more time with all of you: my classmates and my teachers. I have so much more to share with you guys, but I guess I'm just going to end here.

Thank you teachers and goodbye my friends, congratulations on your graduation!
